The Purification Process of Death is a piece of academic writing by Hyunchul Kim which explores mortuary rites in a Japanese rural town. This publication was also created for the 2016 ISTD brief ‘The Undiscovered Country...’. He book was printed using only black ink on cartridge paper. Four sheets of chromatico are placed in the book to mark each chapter. The book itself is hand stitched with a Japanese stab bind.
